This thing works great is the ISGM73/Peripheral Electronics adapter kit.
Perfect price and functionality.
One minor gripe – when using it with my laptop which is plugged into a power inverter, there is loud feedback. But I have had this occur with other systems and, while it is worse here, I don’t think it is the fault of the adapter. If I turn off the inverter, everything sounds fine.

It works with my BMW Z4 on a Dension Ice Link without a problem. Now I can switch easily between a generic AUX port or an IPOD specific interface.

I have a Mazda6 with the OEM iPod integration kit. That was great when I had an iPhone but when I switched to a HTC Hero I was left without a way to listen to my music. After searching all over the internet, I stumbled upon this adapter. In all honesty, I thought it was a fake because it was the only one I found on the internet and the price seemed too good to be true.
Well since the price was good, I decided it was worth the risk and I am glad I got it. The adapter works perfectly and now I can not only use an iPod/iPhone but any phone with a 3.5mm jack like my HTC Hero.
The audio quality sounds great with no distortion. Overall a great product!!

Saw some reviews that said it didn’t work. It worked with my Motorola Droid.
I had a car kit installed for my old iPod (not iPhone, but iPod: there is a difference). This kit was a converter cable: one end plugged into the CD changer port in the back of my factory car radio, the other end plugged into my iPod. I got this so I could plug my Droid into my car to listen to the radio through my car speakers. It works wonderfully, and it’s nice to know I have an 1/8″ mini jack for any other MP3 player that should happen to wonder into my car.

I have tried this item on my Bose sound dock and can tell you with no uncertainty that it does not work. Not sure about the other applications.
